HEXBUG Robotic Crab

Hexbug_robotic_crab

The robotic pet that reacts to sound and light! The perfect robot pet for kids and adults alike! The mini-robot Hexbug Crab will easily gain your affection.

"Feelers" on the crab’s legs are actually sensors that help it maneuver to find its way around obstacles.

The Hexbug Crab seems introverted around noise and scuttles away from loud noises. Notoriously evolved from primitive robotic bugs, when programmed, the Hexbug Crab uses its light sensors to take refuge in dark spaces, just like a real crab would do. Fascinating!

Rock’em Sock’em Robots

Rockem_sockem_robots
The Rock’em Sock’em Robots toys have been a classic since 1964. An old time favorite if you like robot toys, boxing, or both.

This ingenious playing device is ideal for children, for the robotic toy enthusiast, boxing enthusiasts, toy collectors and everybody who enjoys a creative toy. This nostalgic piece represent fun memories for entire generations.

The toy’s theme: robots for kids putting it all on the line for them, is very appropriate and can be used to resolve disputes between children in a civilized way.

This product has arguably some legitimate robotic content other than the theme alone. The robot toys actually respond to the commands given through the controls. They don’t have any problem taking orders!

Talking about the controls, I wonder where the video game joystick creator got his idea back in 1967?

Rock’em Sock’em was originally designed by Marvin Glass and Associates. Mattel is currently the owner of the patent.

Introducing Octopoid

Octopoid

Octopoid is a colorful octopus monster from the ocean. It is not wearing a yellow shirt, it is actually floating on its own lower body made out of water.

Octopoid is a perfect mutant-android with a lot of character. I like its rich texture.

Octopoid and Creature must be good friends.

Introducing Worker

Worker

Worker is a standard Android Robot dressed very appropriately for the office. The other difference is a goatee resembling a cool nerd from the geek squad!

I like it a lot!

Introducing Creature

Creature

Creature is another Android that could pass for a alien or a monster, therefore the name selection is quite appropriate. Another great design by Andrew Bell, this time in warm colors. Interesting new elements are added to the composition, for example the mouth.

Despite the gentle look in its eyes, Creature's missing tooth may reveal a feisty personality. Isn't red a color traditionally associated with aggression anyway?

Creature is on fire! But I am not sure if it is going to be the right fit for the robotic toy family. I guess it has too much Stitch in it.
